Harting, one of the leaders in electrical and electronic connectors and network components, has signed a co-operation agreement with Nexans, the world market leader in the cable industry

This partnership is a logical response to the rising demand for intelligent solutions in the field of industrial automation and will enable both companies to offer a comprehensive range of products in the marketplace Nexans and Harting are already producing active systems for Ethernet networks

The partnership amalgamates the strengths of both companies - Harting expertise in producing and marketing Ethernet network solutions for industrial automation and the Nexans know-how in the development of hardware and software for office applications.

The concept of Automation IT, which aims to facilitate the seamless end-to-end provision of data in communications networks, serves as a common denominator in this co-operation.

This is where office IT and industrial systems merge to deliver efficient solutions to ensure maximum transparency.

Under the terms of the agreement, both companies will sell network components independently of one another - Harting under the name mCON 10000 and Nexans under the heading of iSwitch H300/500.
