The latest generation of the C-Range Hawk IR Sightglasses are the first of their kind to have been classified by Lloyds of London for use in marine switchgear running at up to 11,000 volts.

Permanently installed into electrical equipment the C-Range IR Sightglass enables thermographers to assess and monitor live components located within switch-rooms on board.

Lloyds of London have granted approval to Hawk IR International for use on such extreme voltages due to the extensive arc-fault testing that has been performed on this robust product.

Having been tested to a current maximum of 40kA at 7.2kV to ANSI C37 and also tested to IEC62271-100/200 the latest IR Sightglass from Hawk IR is arguably the safest product of its kind on the market today.

Precision manufactured from aircraft grade aluminium, utilising low smoke and fume components required for offshore environments and incorporating the Clirvu broadband crystal optic - suitable for use with any IR camera - for maximum strength and endurance, the Hawk IR Sightglases are guaranteed for the life of their installation.

Further successful, third party, testing includes prolonged cyclic humidity and vibration simulating severe on-board conditions throughout the ship, including engine room environments, allowing the IR Sightglasses to be installed into switchgear and electrical equipment in virtually any location.
