'Sustainable solutions' on show at H+V07
With wasted energy, soaring fuel costs and tightening legislation, the H+V industry is increasingly focusing on energy efficiency: this will be a major focus for the H+V07 Exhibition in February
With wasted energy set to cost UK businesses GBP570m this summer, as well as soaring fuel costs and tightening legislation, the heating and ventilation (H+V) industry is increasingly focusing on energy efficiency.
Reflecting this interest the organiser of H+V07 (NEC, Birmingham, 27 Feb-1 March 2007) the industry's premier exhibition, has announced the theme for the event will be "Sustainable Solutions For The Future".
"Despite the Government giving a green light to nuclear power in its Energy Review, renewables and energy saving measures are still integral to lowering carbon emissions, combating rising energy prices and complying with legislation, such as the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD).
The H+V industry is working very hard to meet these challenges through the development of innovative low-energy products, new techniques and more environmentally sustainable approaches," explains H+V07 Event Director, Rowan Crowley.
At H+V07, "Sustainable Solutions For The Future" will embrace cutting-edge sessions in the event's expert seminar programme, practical presentations in the Skills Centre and a constellation of the latest low energy technology and products on exhibitors' stands.
The theme will offer a coherent platform for exhibitors to inform the show audience of what they are doing to deliver on the energy and environmental issues facing the industry today.
At the same time, it will give a context for visitors to discuss with exhibitors how the latest H+V products can help them meet new legislative requirements, take advantage of Government initiatives, save energy and reduce cost.
For end-users major investment decisions are now strongly influenced by energy prices, environmental laws, and the likely future direction of government policy," says Rowan Crowley.
"With special client forums and programmes being developed for H+V07, these issues, and the practical implications for the trade and its customers, will be explored in depth at the industry's leading event".
H+V05 attracted a final visitor attendance of 6,591 (ABC audited).
Like the inaugural show, H+V07 will be focused on a visitor audience, comprising building services consultants, contractors and installers in addition to influential end-users from retail, public sector, commercial and industrial markets.
The event is co-located with RAC07, the UK's only dedicated show for the refrigeration and air conditioning industry.
