A Hidrostal pump has speeded up tanker loading with waste yeast at a Greene King Brewery time whilst saving a considerable amount of factory floor space because of its smaller foot print

The Greene King Brewery of Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, best known for their cask beer and ale brands - Greene King IPA, Abbot Ale, Old Speckled Hen and Ruddles County, have purchased, via Anglian Pumping Services, the Hidrostal B050-H01R end suction screw centrifugal pump fitted with 7.5 kw IP55.

The pump replaces a progressive cavity pump and is used to transfer waste yeast to road tankers.

The Hidrostal pump has speeded up the tanker load time whilst saving a considerable amount of factory floor space because of its smaller foot print.

The Hidrostal pump with its screw centrifugal impeller has the ability to handle more viscous liquors than most centrifugal pumps whilst still having centrifugal benefits of higher efficiencies and smaller pump size.

In addition, the Hidrostal screw centrifugal pump has larger solids handling capability.

Hidrostal Limited, based in Newbury, is the manufacturer and distributor of these pumps.

All their pumping solutions are based upon the unique and patented Hidrostal screw centrifugal impeller renowned for its ability to efficiently handle very delicate materials, thick and viscous liquids and untreated sewage without blocking.
