HIMA opens a new branch office in Dubai

With this branch office HIMA will provide support for the 1000 or more HIMA systems installed throughout the region, which include Emergency Shut-down, Fire and Gas, Burner Management and HIPPS

In December 2004, HIMA Paul Hildebrandt + Co KG opened a new branch office, HIMA Middle East, in the Jebel Ali Free Zone in Dubai, United Arab Emirates With this branch office HIMA will provide support for the 1000 or more systems installed throughout the region

In addition a wide range of services are being offered with regard to intelligent safety controllers and solutions for safety-related automation in the process industry.

This includes, for example, emergency shut down systems (ESD), fire and gas systems (F and G), burner management systems (BMS), as well as telemetry and high integrity pressure protection systems (HIPPS).

The new branch office, measuring 512 square meters, replaces the previous representative office Dubai, which was mainly active in a consulting and support capacity.

The new organisation in the Jebel Ali Free Zone allows HIMA Middle East to act independently and co-ordinate sales and service activities from Dubai whilst also offering training locally.

Immediate plans are to increase the number of employees from nine to twelve engineers.Further expansion during 2005 is aimed at increasing market support in the Middle East with provision for a new service and support centre in Bandar Iman, Iran plus a representative office in Doha, Qatar.
