Hima opens its first Canadian office

Hima, a designer and manufacturer of safety automation technology, will open a second North American subsidiary operation in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Hima provides expertise in the areas of safety consulting, SIL determination and verification, systems integration and testing, TUV-certified training, field services and safety lifecycle management.

The Calgary office will allow Hima to deliver a higher level of service to its customers in the region, including Exxonmobil, Conoco Phillips, Bayer Materials Science, BASF, DSM Chemicals, Evonik, Ineos Phenol, PDVSA, Pemex and Eccopetrol Petrobras.

Hima's Canadian office will be managed by Brad Ogilvie, who will be responsible for supporting Hima's agents and partners in Canada and expanding the company's market share.

Sven Grone, president of Hima in the Americas, said: 'The Canadian petrochemical and energy industry has seen tremendous growth in recent years and many facilities are looking for our automated safety solutions.

'This new office allows Hima to provide more localised sales and support options for our growing Canadian customer base.'.
