Pressure regulation goalposts move again
Hoerbiger-Origa has enhanced its intelligent proportional pressure control valve, Airfit Tecno, with a redesign improving its performance and ensuring reliability in the most arduous application zones
"In the past we have always grown by embracing new technologies and developing them for use in the industrial environment.
However, this has lead to a somewhat organic corporate structure, which is no longer appropriate for today's automation industry.
We have reached a size where operating efficiencies need to be optimised." Now manufacturing of core pneumatic and electric actuators and associated control products has been centralised at the Hoerbiger-Origa Filderstadt HQ near Stuttgart in Germany.
Manufacturing for air-preparation equipment and proportional pressure control valves will continue at the Austrian facility in Wiener Neustadt.
A combined senior operational management team has been formed and the sites are harmonising their procedures.
Products will be stocked at the central logistics centre in Filderstadt to optimise pan-European deliveries.
This creates significant advantages for customers across Europe, as UK Managing Director Ray Barnes explains: "We are excited by the fact that UK deliveries will be at least 2-3 days quicker because we ship direct.
Furthermore, developments in our IT system mean that we can interact directly with the production centre when prioritising requirements and can monitor the exact status of orders".
Another key benefit is the harmonisation of prices across Europe, which for UK customers will mean price reductions on some core products. Request free introductory details about products from Hoerbiger-Origa ...
