Visitors will immediately notice a newly designed home page on which products can be located either by product category or by industry category.
Critical information about products, services and industry solutions can be reached quickly from the red navigation bar in the upper third left side of the page.
A Product Search Tool is available on every page in the upper third right side of the page, so customers can easily find information without needing to return to the home page.
Both the catalogue or model number search and the product key word search produces a link to product specifications as well as available CAD files, CE Declarations, MSDS or other documentation so product technical specifications are more easily available.
The Advanced Product Search Tool enables users to enter product-specific criteria to more quickly find products that meet their requirements (size, rating, material, etc).
Research indicated that site visitors preferred product information in the online product catalogue to closely resemble the Hoffman printed Specifier's guide -- a familiar resource to many.
As an additional convenience, these pages can be emailed or printed by using the "printable page" and "e-mail this page" tools in the bottom tool bar on the site.
This new e-mail option is a valuable tool for customers who share data as part of their design or purchasing process.
The catalogue chapters appear as easily identifiable icons on the lower half of the homepage.
Once inside the catalogue, users will see a list of catalogue chapters in a left navigation bar.
New product chapters will be added as product developments warrant.
New products will be featured at the top of each chapter landing page.
To also enhance user experience, Hoffman no longer requires a password to download CAD files, streamlining the information acquisition process.
"We hope the new site will be a helpful tool that provides users with quicker and easier access to the information they need to make informed decisions on their enclosure and other product needs," said Orvik: "We expect the site to evolve as our customer needs and requirements change.
