"Another unique feature of the modular HMI enclosure system is thermal efficiency: excess heat can diminish equipment performance and life span," said Mark Saunders, Hoffman product manager: "We have designed and tested the CC3000 with single-wall aluminium construction to dissipate heat efficiently and eliminate thermal build-up inside the enclosure.
In many cases, these design features preclude the need for active cooling; however, an internal fan can be installed if required".
UL-rated for indoor use, CC3000 Enclosures protect against dust, dirt, dripping water and non-corrosive liquids.
Applications include process control, system integration, robotics, material handling, wastewater processing, and oil and gas processing.
The CC3000 delivers an aesthetically pleasing solution in 120mm and 200mm solid body depth profiles.
A 55mm hinged door extension for the enclosure front or rear openings is available, as is a keyboard component provision and five handle configurations.
The extruded Type 6063 aluminium top and sides offer quality appearance and internal flexibility.
All body sizes and styles are compatible with the Hoffman current pendant and pedestal offerings, and rear doors can be hinged on the right or left side for easy access.
There is a USB connector accessory to facilitate keyboard/mouse access plus software upgrades.
And, blue, purple, red and turquoise accessory colours are available to match popular operator interface schemes.
CC3000 meets the following industry standards: Underwriters Laboratories (UL) 508A, UL508, UL Type 12, National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA)/EEMAC Type 12 and Canadian Standards Association (CSA) C22.2 No 94 Type 12.
