The 60-mm Busbar System by Wohner is UL508, CSA and CE recognized and designed to safely distribute power throughout a panel while conserving valuable panel space

Hoffman now offers the 60-mm Busbar System by Wohner Wohner is the market leader in busbar systems, the predominant power distribution method outside of North America

Recognizing the increasingly global reach of North American customers and a growing demand for globally accepted products, Hoffman has formed a strategic partnership with Wohner.

Hoffman has long been a provider of quality enclosure solutions, and the addition of the robust, easy-to-use 60-mm Busbar System provides customers with a more complete solution.

A busbar system uses three copper bars, which are attached to end supports connected to the back panel, to distribute power throughout the enclosure.

Electrical components are mounted onto adapters that simply snap onto the busbars, establishing an electrical connection and mechanically fastening in one step, reducing wiring time by up to 40 percent.

This design allows power to be easily distributed to multiple components and is touch-safe rated to IP20.

In addition, busbar systems utilise pre-wired adapters and sliding DIN rails, enabling components to be placed closer together while reducing the raceway and bending radius space required.

Wohner developed the first busbar system in the 1970s and has continued to innovate and expand its product offerings, delivering the broadest product line in the industry.

The 60-mm Busbar Systems Hoffman now offers are rigid and modular, and they can distribute currents of over 1600 amps at 690V.

The busbars can be cut to the desired length to adapt to most enclosures, and they can be positioned vertically or horizontally to optimise space.

Plus, innovative input and output terminals accommodate most wire sizes and do not require drilling or tapping.

"The design and layout of 60-mm Busbar Systems expedite installation, and components can be easily added to the panel, increasing application flexibility," said Nathan Espinosa, Hoffman product manager.

"Busbar systems combine space savings with exceptional safety.

Their snap-together design accommodates all typical components installed within a panel, including fuseholders, switches and circuit breakers.

This ease and flexibility greatly simplifies project planning and management".

Espinosa adds, "These systems also minimise the number of connections, and arc flash danger is dramatically reduced since all live parts are insulated".
