'Belt lifter' for conveyor maintenance
engineers
"RapidWinch" is the next generation of conveyor belt lifting systems for changing conveyor rollers - a one-stop device that can be used in nearly all conveyor maintenance situations
Using an innovative winch design, the RapidWinch is a light-weight, compact unit that can be used in a wide range of conditions - whether it is to change a single roller or carry out more complex work in confined spaces After consulting with a number of maintenance engineers in the UK and overseas, Horizon Conveyor Equipment has adapted conventional Belt Lifter designs to create a two-part system that bolts easily to conveyor roller frames and uses high-tensile straps to lift the belt

The adaptable system not only suits most routine maintenance issues, but can also be put to work when changing return-belt rollers or dealing with complex "inverted V" rollers sets.
Already proving to be one of the most versatile Belt Lifters on the market, the RapidWinch weighs around 45kg with a 2 ton safe working load (SWL), which means maintenance engineers can now to carry out essential routine maintenance work at any time with the minimum of effort.
Using an integrated telescopic design, the RapidWinch can be taken apart and stored as a compact, roll-along unit that can be manoeuvred with the ease of a golf trolley.
The company can also design and construct bespoke RapidWinch units based on individual customer specifications.
Alan Bowler, Managing Director of Horizon Conveyor Equipment, said: "Belt Lifters have traditionally adopted a lifting beam design to raise a conveyor belt, but these systems can be cumbersome and time-consuming if an engineer simply wants to change a single roller or work in confined spaces" He added: "Because the RapidWinch is a light-weight, portable unit it can be moved and set up quickly and easily in virtually all maintenance situations.
The RapidWinch is certainly the most versatile Belt Lifter on the market".
