New Hosokawa Micron wet grinding mills
The Alpine ANR Wet Agitated Pearl Mill is designed for the large scale ultrafine wet grinding of medium to hard materials where the downstream process can accept a fine wet product
The Alpine ANR Wet Agitated Pearl Mill from Hosokawa Micron is designed for the large scale ultrafine wet grinding of medium to hard materials where the downstream process can accept a wet product or when the required product fineness can only be achieved using wet milling techniques The Alpine ANR can be used to produce bulk fillers in the 90% minus 45 micron size range or can be employed for the production of ultrafine powders of approximately 1 micron as may be used in the paper and plastics industries

Olive stone grinding to produce activated carbon
One of the world's leading producers of activated carbon has installed a complete turnkey milling and process control system from Hosokawa Micron to give them unmanned production 24/7
The mill has an operating range for feed materials below 100 micron and is normally fed pre-milled powder from an Air Classifier Mill, however the ANR will accommodate feed materials up to 500 microns in extreme cases.
Water is metered into the mixing vessel, together with grinding aid if required.
A slurry is generated and is pumped to the mill feed tank where it is agitated to ensure that the solids stay in suspension.
From the feed tank the slurry is pumped at a controlled rate through the ANR from the bottom to the top.
The finely ground product is discharged over a weir arrangement and passes through a vibratory sieve which removes any broken grinding media.
The finished slurry is then pumped to an agitated holding tank.
The Alpine ANR product line includes several machine sizes with grinding chamber volumes ranging between 10 and 4000 litres.
The grinding media in the ANR mill is typically in the 2-4mm size range and the mill is normally lined with a ceramic material or hard-metal coating and the rotor coated or hardfaced depending on the application. With the appropriate selection of grinding media it is possible to ensure production of iron free products on the ANR Wet Agitated Pearl Mill.
