Precision toner production with Hosokawa Micron
Hosokawa Micron Alpine single stage classifiers were able to meet the toner industry demands for production of low melt point products with narrow particle size distribution and minimum fines
The Alpine TSP and TTSP classifiers use the the latest developments in classifier technology to separate out fine dust in the <3-5micron range to leave a de-dusted toner that meets the 5.5 to 10micron specification demanded for use in photocopiers and laser printers.
Whilst the Alpine TSP is considered the industry standard on general toner applications, the TTSP, with its tandem classifier wheels adds further increases to product yield.
The low energy concentration and maintained pressure inside the TTSP ensures temperature parameters are not exceeded making it highly suited to production of the new, coloured toners with low melting points.
Even toners with high iron oxide content can be processed with almost no abrasion.
This leading edge toner production solution combines the Alpine TGF Fluid Bed Opposed Jet Mill and TSP and TTSP sifters for energy efficient and accurate control of particle size.
Despite their compact design the TSP and TTSP are easily opened and dismantled for quick and improved cleaning.
Quick change classifier wheel design also facilitates rapid product change, improving the unit operational flexibility.
