AWS2007 show visit by Huntingdon Fusion Techniques

A Huntingdon Fusion Techniques product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Dec 28, 2007

Huntingdon Fusion Techniques Managing Director Darren Sewell and Development Manager Jon Lewis travelled to the annual AWS exhibition at Chicago, in November to see all things new in the welding world

They also had a series of meetings with COB Industries Inc, the sole HFT distributor in the USA, who had a prominent exhibition presence.

Mr Sewell observed, "The Chicago 2007 exhibition was the best attended I have experienced for many years and reflected the growing global interest in innovative welding products and techniques.

There was a very evident international presence of both exhibitors and visitors".

There are always exchange benefits from major international events of this type.

They afford opportunities to discuss new products and trends with other manufacturers and with end-users and provide valuable information on which to base future policy.

Many of the HFT products attracted attention, but in particular there was keen interest in Quick Purge from the petrochemical industry and in the recently developed Force Gauge from the large automotive manufacturers.

USA end-users made it clear that the HFT tungsten grinder was the preferred machine for reliability.

COB Industries reported a record year for sales of HFT products and reflects the close working relationship which has been developed between the two companies over the years.

Mr Sewell committed HFT to a joint exhibition with COB at the 2008 show in Las Vegas.
