The new Australian approval follows testing by International Testing and Certification Services (ITACS), who certify the glands for use with flameproof and increased safety equipment.
Additionally, the Hawke North American cable glands/connectors have been tested and listed by the Underwriter's Laboratory (UL) for use with AExe and AExd apparatus under the the NEC Class and Zone Hazardous Location structure.
This listing supplements Hawke's long established Class and Division approval.
