Hazardous area viscometer for extreme
conditions
Viscosity measurement specialist Hydramotion is a world leader in the design and manufacture of viscometers for any fluid in any process, including hazardous areas and extreme environmental conditions
Viscosity measurement specialist Hydramotion is a world leader in the design and manufacture of viscometers for any fluid in any process, including hazardous area applications Carrying ATEX, CENELEC, CSA and TIIS certification, the XL7 series of in-line viscometers give excellent performance in the extreme conditions often encountered in petrochemical and chemical engineering applications

Fluid viscosity measurement comes online
Once a mainstay of laboratory analysis, fluid viscosity measurement has now been brought on-line in the shape of XL Series Process Viscometers from Hydramotion
Portable viscosity measurement on the spot
The Viscolite 700 from Hydramotion gives instant spot measurement of viscosity in the field, factory or lab without requiring any on-site set-up or calibration
With every model available as an intrinsically safe version to Ex II 1G (EEx ia IIC T6), the XL7 can be used for continuous viscosity measurement and control in Zone 0 (Class 1 Div 1 Group A) hazardous areas (explosive atmosphere continuously present).
As an XL7 viscometer always operates at process temperature without requiring any special cooling, no inaccuracies can arise from localised changes in fluid temperature around the sensor.
The instrument can be supplied with any process fitting (eg flanged or threaded), mounts directly into a vessel or pipeline in any orientation, and comes complete with its own digital readout unit.
Outputs include a 4-20 mA analogue signal and a serial data link, and the company can supply a suitable barrier on request.
For the food and healthcare industries Hydramotion supply clean-in-place compatible viscometers with any size or type of sanitary fitting.
The XL7 has no moving parts, seals or bearings that could wear out or fail in service, and needs virtually no maintenance. Request a free brochure from Hydramotion ...
