Pump for rainwater removal from bunded areas

A Hydrotech Solutions product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Jun 12, 2007

Rainwater in bunded areas creates a responsibility to have the containment regularly pumped out so that the bunded volume continues to comply with the 110% capacity requirement in case of spillage

Bunded walls must maintain 110% of tank capacity as protection in case of hydrocarbon spillage or leaks.

The well proven product "Oil Smart" water pump switch is being brought to the UK market by Hydrotech Solutions to help customers meet this type of requirement, to protect the environment and meet compliance to discharge to foul sewers.

Oil Smart pump switch will allow any pump to pump water but will prevent the pump from inadvertently pumping hydrocarbons (oils, diesel, and petrol) to drain or surface water outlets.

The Oil Smart system will prove to be readily self financing because its use will minimise the necessity to employ costly tanker pumps outs when rainwater gets into low level sumps or bunded areas.
