Invensys Process Systems announced this week the appointment of Andrew Johnson who will head up sales and operations for the Avantis enterprise asset management (EAM) business in the European, Middle Eastern and African market (EMEA).

Andrew, who joins Invensys with a high level of experience in enterprise software marketplace, will be based in the UK.

He said: "I am looking forward to building on the success that Avantis has already enjoyed within the EMEA region.

As organizations are looking ahead to develop long-term asset management strategies to get a broad picture of their overall plant performance and at the same time make more informed business decisions on asset management I believe that our business will expand rapidly in response to demand.

Our customers want to balance the availability and utilisation of their assets for improved asset performance, and Avantis can deliver those benefits and much more".

Working with Guido Stein, Vice President of Sales for the Invensys Solutions group for EMEA, Andrew will be an important part of the regional EMEA team, driving Avantis sales, services and customer satisfaction for all of EMEA.
