Mini-Seminar: Fieldbus - How it Really Works

The IMC London Section Technical Lecture will be a Mini-Seminar which will focus on 'Fieldbus - How it Really Works', with three different opinions: Tuesday 11th Jan at 17.30

The IMC London Section Committee reminds you that the Technical Lecture, scheduled for Tuesday 11th Jan 2005 at 17.30 for 18.00, will be a mini-seminar which will focus on Fieldbus - "How it Really Works".

Three companies, SMAR, Pepperl and Fuchs, and Hawke Fieldbus will present papers, to give an insight into the operation of fieldbus.

The first paper is by Robin Burnikell, Business Manager SMAR UK, who will be making a presentation entitled "Drilling Into Fieldbus - How it Really Works".

A presentation that takes an under the surface look at how fieldbus is able to achieve some of the benefits it claims.

The second paper is by Thomas Klatt, Business Development Manager of P and F who will be making a presentation entitled "Drilling Down into Fieldbus - How Fieldbus Really Works in Hazardous Areas".

The presentation will endeavour to take an under the surface look at how fieldbus really works in both hazardous and non-hazardous areas.

The third paper will be by Mike O'Neil, Director for Hawke Fieldbus who will be making a presentation titled "Practical Fieldbus Implementation - What the Others Don't Tell You" This presentation talks about a number of topics that will be of interest to anyone wanting to take fieldbus into a real live operating plant.

Food, wine and soft refreshments will be provided.

The venue is the Energy Industries Council at Newcombe House, 45 Nottinghill Gate, London W11 3LQ.

Parking is available at the rear of the EIC offices which are outside the London congestion zone.
