It is estimated that electrical drives and other rotating equipment consume about 50% of the total electrical energy consumed in the world today (and this figure increases to 70% when the reference is to industry alone.) The cost of maintaining electrical motors can be significant in the budgets of manufacturing and mining industries.
This course will provide delegates with a thorough understanding of electrical motors and drives.
It will give those attending the tools to protect, control and maintain them.
Typical applications of electric motors in mining and manufacturing, together with materials handling and process control, will be covered in detail.
The concluding section of the course will provide the fundamentals to troubleshoot motors confidently and effectively.
