ITS launches a high class training and development service for companies who don't necessarily have the time or expertise to provide all the regulatory compliance training that their workforce needs

Alan Benbow, a former employee of the global pharmaceutical company Wyeth, has brought his twelve years experience in the pharmaceutical industry to Industrial Technology Systems (ITS).

Alan has joined ITS as Regulatory Compliance Training Manager, responsible for designing and delivering training courses and providing a range of complementary training services.

Over the last few years ITS has recognised a significant rise in regulatory standards, government initiatives and demands for companies to train their staff.

As a result Malcolm Knott, Managing Director decided to recruit an individual with the expertise both in the pharmaceutical industry and in training to take on the role of Regulatory Compliance Training Manager.

Alan, a Training Officer at Wyeth was the ideal candidate.

Malcolm Knott, Managing Director explains, "My vision is for ITS to provide a high class training and development service to companies who don't necessarily have the time or expertise to provide all the regulatory compliance training that their workforce needs.

It is an exciting new opportunity for ITS.

The training resource will be used both internally to retrain our own employees but also to complement our other services and to generate new business".

With Alan's expertise, ITS has designed over thirty courses in the categories of: Compliance, Production Skills, and Soft Skills.

Course titles range from: Introducing cGMP; Basic Principles of Blister Packing Machines; Reducing Set Up Time; to NVQ Assessor Training.

ITS can also assist in identifying training needs, or delivering courses to help customers to qualify and implement their own work-based trainers or NVQs into the workplace.

Once the courses have been delivered customers can request further help from ITS, to ensure that the trainee applies the skills they have learnt in the workplace.

The ITS team has the expertise to develop a 21CFR11 compliant training database to record company training records and the future needs of their employees, eg refresher courses.

Alan's enthusiasm in training is highly apparent, "Moving into training and development was the most stimulating role that I have ever taken on.

I am really motivated by my ability to help others learn, grow and develop in their positions and careers.

I am looking forward to sharing my expertise not only with ITS employees but also with their customers".
