The ITS tutor, Alan Benbow (No relation to Nick Denbow-Processingtalk Editor!) has the knowledge and experience developed during twenty two years working for Johnson and Johnson and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals.

An engineering technical background that led into training at Wyeth, provided operational focus to meet the ever increasing regulatory demands placed on pharmaceutical manufacturers.

Professional training knowledge and skills were obtained while working to meet the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development's National Standards.

During his fourteen years at Wyeth, Alan was involved in a wide range of activities including, at operational levels, developing operators, craftsmen, and technicians.

Alan was also responsible for training and assessing operational employees to NVQ standards.

From a mid management perspective, training and development initiatives included facilitating continuous improvement and best practices projects.

Alan was part of a senior management project responsible for global compliance.

His role included visits to North America, Canada and European plants to share his knowledge in compliance.

Alan has also won awards for his contribution towards the development and implementation of SOPs and NVQ training.

Recent development activities have included the training of equipment suppliers' technicians, medical device manufacturers and pharmaceutical employees.
