An IET (Institution of Engineering and Technology) product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Jul 22, 2009

21 July 2009 - A low-carbon chemical and waste-free process for treating and recycling industrial wastewater on site has won the IET Innovation in Engineering Awards - North West.

Arvia Technology was behind the invention of the process, which is achieved by capturing pollutants and destroying them using a low-power electrical current.

The company said this is 90 per cent more cost-effective than conventional methods.

26 May 2009 - The Association of Cost Engineers and the Institute of Engineering and Technology have signed a collaboration agreement.

The agreement, signed by the presidents of both organisations, will result in a number of outcomes, one of which will be the new online project control technical and professional network.

As an online home for project control engineers, it will improve the service to members and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the institutions.

As part of the collaboration, both organisations will work to cross-promote their activities, including events, products and services.
