Invensys Process Systems and INVAP of Argentina have renewed an existing cooperative business agreement in the nuclear plant market for an additional three years
Invensys Process Systems, specialists in control and safety systems for nuclear plants, and INVAP of Argentina, experts in nuclear reactor technology and services, have renewed an existing cooperative business agreement for an additional three years.
Under this alliance agreement, the companies will continue to work together to provide mutual customers with comprehensive, world-class product and service solutions for the design, engineering, construction, control, protection, and maintenance of nuclear facilities.
INVAP is a respected designer and constructor of nuclear facilities around the world.
Invensys is a highly experienced global supplier of safety and control systems for nuclear facilities, including many of the world's largest nuclear power plants.
Working under a subcontract for INVAP, Invensys Systems Argentina recently provided control and safety systems hardware and associated engineering services for the OPAL scientific/medical research reactor constructed and commissioned by INVAP in New South Wales, Australia.
INVAP, as the Main Contractor for the OPAL Project, has been responsible for the design of the integrated solution as well as for its assembly, installation, commissioning and performance of the control and safety systems for this state-of-the-art nuclear installation.
Here, the full set of Invensys products for the nuclear industry have been employed in an integrated manner in a plant built around the most modern multipurpose nuclear reactor in the world.
