Invensys to automate new LNG terminal in
Louisiana
Invensys Process Systems has won an LNG terminal automation contract from Aker Kvaerner that includes Foxboro DCS, Triconex safety and fire and gas systems, and Foxboro instrumentation and services
The Invensys contract covers process and safety systems for all storage and regasification processes, as well as remote control centers for marine unloading operations at the docks at a new LNG receiving terminal in the Gulf coast area Invensys will provide an integrated control system solution consisting of Foxboro I/A Series mesh-network-based distributed control systems (DCS), Triconex high-integrity pressure protection systems (HIPPS) and Fire and Gas systems, and field instrumentation, in a control infrastructure covering approximately 8,300 I/O points
