New SU series water flow meters from ifm

Maintaining the balance of water flow through a distributed system, injecting just the right amount of water into a mix, or simply metering consumption are typical tasks for the new SU series from ifm

Maintaining the balance of water flow through a distributed system, injecting just the right amount of water into a mix, or simply metering consumption are typical tasks where the new SU series from ifm electronic can help by measuring the exact flow rate With an analogue output or a pulse relative to the water flow rate, the SU series can comfortably cope with a wide range of flows up to 100 l/min, and will not be troubled by suspended particles in the water because there are no moving parts to clog

A reliable flow of cooling water is critical to welding systems, induction furnaces, injection moulders, high-value laser cutting equipment and more.

The new SU series from ifm electronic can help ensure that the flow is maintained by providing an alarm if there is even the slightest change in either the flow rate, or the temperature of the water.

Renowned for their innovative sensors, leading supplier ifm electronic have incorporated an accurate ultrasonic sensor and state-of-the-art electronics into an industrial housing with standard process and electrical connections, providing versatile solutions to many water flow headaches.

The SU series boasts a highly-visible display of the flow rate, and a selection of outputs to provide a scalable analogue 4 to 20mA or 0 to 10 V signal, and output pulse or switched alarm outputs, PNP or NPN, selectable normally open or normally closed and for which the user can adjust the hysteresis.

The electrical connection is a standard M12 connector, while process connections are standard 0.5 or 0.75 inch fittings.

The SU can even monitor the temperature of the water, too, giving an alarm if a set trip level is exceeded.

All other features, such as IP65 seal, robust housing, high EMC level, full protection of the electronics from short-circuits or overloads, are of the highest standards expected of ifm electronic.

ifm is committed to working closely with its customers to develop products which precisely match their needs, and the company provides expert, readily accessible technical support to help users maximise the benefits they gain from ifm products. Request a free brochure from IFM Electronic ...
