Junction splitter boxes for food industry use

An IFM Electronic product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Aug 30, 2006

The new ProcessLine splitter boxes from ifm have been developed for use in areas with extreme cleaning requirements: they are stainless steel, IP69K and have Ecolab certification

Sensor market leader ifm electronic supplies many products to food-related industries where field connections need to be implemented.

This often requires expensive stainless steel junction boxes which are difficult to seal.

The new ProcessLine splitter boxes have been developed for use in areas with extreme cleaning requirements.

As a direct field splitter with protection rating IP69K and Ecolab certification it is particularly suitable for use in the production process with an increased environmental requirement due to high-pressure cleaning.

Using state-of-the-art production technologies ifm electronic has managed to incorporate the latest technology in an extremely space-saving stainless steel housing.

The smooth housing has been intentionally designed without corners and edges.

It reduces the build-up of dirt and can be cleaned all round.

The housing design of the ProcessLine has been awarded the renowned red-dot design award.

The ProcessLine module features eight 24V ports capable of handling up to 12A.

Repeat indicators show the status of each.

The connection is made via M12 sockets.

The ProcessLine splitter itself has an integral multi-core cable, available in 5m, 10m or 25m lengths.

ifm supplies one of the widest ranges of sensors for position and process control, complemented by a huge selection of connection possibilities, from connecting cable to AS-interface systems.

ifm is committed to working closely with its customers to develop products which precisely match their needs, and the company provides expert, readily accessible technical support to help users maximise the benefits they gain from ifm products.
