Clever level sensor does more than check levels
The recent success of the LK and LI series level probes has led to the introduction of some clever new sensors that provide more information than just liquid level
A pump cavitation sensor at last!
The ifm electronic pump diagnostic pressure sensor detects cavitation, trapped air and blockages, just what you have been waiting for!
This can now be verified with new versions of the ifm electronic SI range of flow switches.
The SI1100 has titanium wetted parts, while the probe on the SI0513 is manufactured from Hastelloy, complementing the standard stainless steel range of SI devices.
These materials endow the device with resistance to most commonly used dosing chemicals in, for example, water treatment or similar processes.
Operating on the well proven and highly dependable calorimetric principle, all SI flow switches are designed for operation from nominal 24V DC supplies, and all have a single switching output.
When operating in liquid or gaseous media, the switching point can be set from 3 to 300 centimetres per second, or from 200 to 2,000 centimetres per second, respectively.
ifm SI flow sensors incorporate a bar graph display, which displays both the switching point and the current flow rate.
Adjustment is by an integral microprocessor-based system which automatically optimises the operation of the sensor to suit the medium in which it is being used.
ifm supplies one of the widest ranges of sensors for position and process control, complemented by a huge selection of connection possibilities, from connecting cable to AS-interface systems.
ifm is committed to working closely with its customers to develop products which precisely match their needs, and the company provides expert, readily accessible technical support to help users maximise the benefits they gain from ifm products. Request a free brochure from IFM Electronic ...
