New flowmeter for smallest gas or air quantities

An IFM Electronic product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Nov 8, 2007

The flow meter efector metris is complemented by two further versions which can detect the smallest flows of gas and air

SD5100 measures argon, carbon dioxide and nitrogen in quantities from 0.047 to 25.54 Nm3/h.

For air, the volume which can be measured by SD5000 is 0.06 to 15 Nm3/h.

This compressed air flowmeter integrated pipe length ensures easy mounting and high measurement accuracy.

So, even the smallest leaks in the system can be detected.

Using the totaliser function, consumed quantities can be detected and documented for a certain period of time.

All information can be directly retrieved via a 4-digit 10-segment display and further status LEDs.

Whether peak consumption, current or accumulated consumption is selected, switch or alarm level settings can be read and re-set via pushbutton.

All settings can be protected using the electronic lock function.

The two outputs can be set as binary, analogue or pulse outputs.

Because the meter uses the thermal measuring principle, the sensors operate without mechanical components,so there is no wear.
