PMP pressure sensors provide 0.2 per cent accuracy

An IFM Electronic product story

IFM Electronic has introduced the PMP series of ATEX-approved hygienic pressure sensors.

The PMP series is accurate and suitable for hazardous areas.

The 0.2 per cent accuracy is achieved by electronic temperature compensation and improved temperature decoupling.

The flush process connection is via the IFM EHEDG-certified modular hygienic adapter system, allowing integration via common process adapters, ideal for CIP or other applications.

Via Profibus PA, the PMP series can offer extended diagnostic capabilities beyond signal processing.

To ensure this, the unit carries out self-tests while in operation.

The diagnosis status can be polled cyclically or acyclically, via the Profibus master.

Four units of the PMP range are certified 1G and 1D/2D for working areas classified as hazardous zones under DSEAR/ATEX.

The pressure ranges the PMP series will monitor are split over four common spans in separate devices.

The housings are constructed in food-grade stainless steel.

They are sealed to IP67 / IP69K if using IFM Electronic's mating EVT-series M12 electrical connectors.
