World Congress provisional programme online now
Planning for the 7th World Congress of Chemical Engineering (WCCE7) has passed another key milestone with the publication of the provisional scientific programme
2000 papers have been submitted from 72 countries and the congress is shaping up to be the biggest gathering of the international process community ever seen in Europe, according to congress chairman, Strathclyde University's professor Colin Grant.
"We have received an impressive response from both industry and academia", says Grant.
"The provisional programme contains some challenging contributions from every area of process engineering science and practice.
A real sense of excitement is beginning to build around the event and we are on course for a major gathering of the chemical engineering clan with important inputs from other disciplines".
The congress is supported by an impressive array of industrial partners including, ABB, BP, BNFL, GSK and Shell.
The UK's 'big three' scientific academies are also backing the event along with the EPSRC and international bodies including AIChE and DECHEMA.
HRH Princess Anne has granted royal patronage and is expected to attend the congress.
Copies of the provisional programme and registration brochure containing information on plenary and keynote speakers, session grids, exhibition details, social programme and a registration form are available on request or via the website.
