The Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) Malaysia Branch has opened its new office on Jalan Pinang in Kuala Lumpur, to provide administrative services to the local membership

The Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) Malaysia Branch has opened its new office on Jalan Pinang in Kuala Lumpur.

The office will initially focus on providing administrative services to the local membership.

IChemE joins some of the world's largest corporations in the Golden Triangle including Petronas, Exxon Mobil, Shell and ABN Amro Bank.

IChemE Qualifications and Membership Director, Neil Atkinson said, "IChemE is committed to supporting chemical engineers in Malaysia: The new office here in Kuala Lumpur will provide an ideal base to serve and communicate with our local members".

IChemE Malaysia Branch Chairman, Professor Mohd Ali Hashim said "Process industry expansion is bringing new challenges to chemical engineers in Malaysia: We must respond to these challenges by developing our members' skills and knowledge.

The IChemE presence in Kuala Lumpur will facilitate their professional development and provide them with high standards of service".
