The Thames Valley Section of the IMC is delighted to announce that Clive de Salis will repeat his recent lecture entitled IEC 61508 Safety Assessment on 28 March in Reading Clive de Salis of Rowanhouse has previously presented this discussion to a large audience for the London Section, and so this repeat is being organised at the Foster Wheeler offices, in Reading, on Tuesday 28th Mar 2006 - at 17.30 for 18.00
Clive is the Chair of the 61508 Association in the UK, and his talk will discuss the dilemmas of risk assessment under BS EN 61508 for safety instrumented systems.
The talk will cover the subject with some real examples that will emphasize the dilemmas facing those who determine the required SIL ratings, and will highlight that most of the standard is actually for process engineers.
