IMO precision controls, the leading supplier of industrial automation and electronic control components has published the results of its UK distributor competition: Lincs Electrical was the winner

IMO precision controls, the leading supplier of industrial automation and electronic control components has published the results of its UK distributor competition Lincs Electrical turned out to be the winning party, of the plentiful 20 competitors

The winner was followed by the IMO Gloucestershire distributor Rifina while MGB snapped third place.

The scheme, based on monthly thresholds, was calculated on sales from the previous year on a portfolio of 4 products: DIN terminals, DIN timers, Isolators and Transformers.

Lincs Electrical, with customer base of 400 and a turnover of GBP2.6 million, was awarded 7,842 points whilst ten other distributors were able to achieve enough points to earn prizes with every Distributor improving sales for the same 6 months.

Speaking about the award Mr Andew Johnson, MD at Lincs Electrical said: "We took part in the scheme to further develop our relationship with IMO and we are delighted the products have been well received by our customers, in terms of quality and price.

We always have confidence when supplying IMO products that they offer exceptional quality at a competitive price and that they will give many years of service to our customers".

Mr Johnson added: "We would certainly take part in a scheme again, it gives focus to our sales team, as with most sales teams they have a competitive nature and like to win, the league table encourages competitiveness and gives a fun element.

The monthly prizes and overall winners prize gives everybody a reason to sell IMO products with the knowledge that we have provided a product that is fit for purpose".

"These days, it is not very often that we get the opportunity to be involved in 'Selling Incentives' offered by manufacturers," says Grace Tipson at MGB.

"We are currently working on a new catalogue for 2005.

Many of the IMO products will be included in this and we look forward to a long and rewarding distributor relationship with IMO.

Not least to say, we look forward to the next incentive from IMO".

Garry Lewis, of IMO, commented: "We are very pleased with the final outcome of our scheme, in particular the fact that several distributors were able to exceed our monthly thresholds.

As for us, at IMO, we are confident we are doing our best to help customers achieve their optimum solution by delivering the most complete and flexible range of automation and control components available to the industry today".
