IMO Precision Controls recently launched its new range of DIN-rail screwless spring terminals which guarantee safe connection in all low voltage installations

IMO Precision Controls, the leading specialists in automation and control, recently launched its new range of DIN-rail screwless spring terminals which guarantee safe connection in all low voltage installations.

IMO has designed its new family of screwless terminals to cover all modular requirements set by today's industry.

The IMO new generation of DIN-rail terminal blocks brings advanced technical improvement that helps save valuable installation time for engineers.

The terminals are all supplied open, which allows rapid and trouble-free installation, reducing both wiring time and downtime during maintenance.

The spring clamp connection system - which takes all types of wire including those with fitted ferrules - allows quick and tidy connections, thanks to possible insertion from the top of the terminal.

The new screwless spring terminals are also provided with protected wire inlets through which the conductor can automatically be placed into the clamping yoke, enabling easy insertion of stranded flexible cable.

In line with the constant drive towards greater packing density of components within the control panel, IMO has made its new terminal blocks more compact and lighter than their predecessors.

The company's range of compact DIN-rail mounting terminals comes in sizes from 2.5sqmm through to 240sqmm.

The IMO new spring terminals also respond to the industry's new demands for safer and more flexible materials by being made from lightweight polyamide 6.6.

Thermoplastic polyamide 6.6 has excellent electrical, mechanical and chemical characteristics resisting temperatures as high as 100C.

The IMO commitment to high quality standards is finally demonstrated in the manufacture of all metal parts present in its terminals.

These components are electroplated to the latest state of engineering, with an initial zinc layer followed by a yellow chromate finish, which provides the best possible passivation for this type of product.
