The IMC Wessex Section has visited the Veolia Environmental Energy Recovery Facility, based at Marchwood on the banks of Southampton water.
The visit consisted of a presentation on the waste management strategy adopted by Veolia to handle all of Hampshire's waste, conducted by Joanna Dixon, communications and education officer for Veolia Environmental Service Hampshire.
The presentation was followed by a site overview directed from the purpose-built visitor viewing gallery.
