Installation is simple.
The monitor is permanently fastened to the machine and can be bolted on or simply attached with a magnet.
Alternatively, it can be screwed onto a bearing block lubrication connection as it is equipped with a lubrication passage with male and female threads enabling automatic lubricators to be used with the monitor.
No manual configuration is necessary.
Following installation, the monitor automatically carries out calibration and reference measurements and uses these to automatically set alarm levels for vibration speed, vibration acceleration and temperature.
Machine status is indicated by flashing lights: green for normal; yellow for preliminary alarm; and red for primary alarm.
Status and alarms can be easily checked by passing personnel.
Easy Check is operated by a standard 1.5 Volt battery, which provides enough power for more than a year of operation.
So no wiring to either power supply or alarm system is required.
Prior to installation of Easy Check, Ina Fag personnel will carry out a detailed, in-depth analysis of the machines to be monitored to ensure they are not already damaged and are working efficiently.
Post-installation when an alarm is raised, the Ina Fag team is also available, when required, to provide detailed diagnosis and problem solving services using other online and offline monitoring products within its CM portfolio.
The Easy Check monitor, first introduced in April, 2003, has already proved successful in a number of industries including coal fired power-plants, cement plants and in desulphurisation plants and is ideally suited to applications such as process-critical pumps, fans and motors.
