INA FAG UK launches new maintenance
service

INA FAG is offering a new service providing independent diagnostic, monitoring and maintenance advice for a wide range of bearing applications, to help customers improve maintenance programmes

According to new research the cost of maintenance in some industries can be as high as 12.5% of revenue Careful planning and optimisation can therefore make a major impact on the bottom line

To help its customers to make maintenance programmes more effective leading bearing manufacturer INA FAG is offering a new service providing independent diagnostic, monitoring and maintenance advice for a wide range of bearing applications.

Servicing impacts directly on the life span and performance of individual machines as well as whole production lines.

The service from INA FAG includes consultations, ongoing vibration monitoring, maintenance management, assembly and repair of roller bearings and general maintenance.

Customers can choose from an extensive offer of services or work with experts from INA FAG to develop a tailored solution to their specific problem.

Customers and partner companies also have access to a wide range of training programmes in vibration monitoring and roller bearing assembly.

Derek Hoult, engineering manager, comments: "Maintenance can be planned and major problems and down-time avoided in many cases.

We are aiming to help our partners and customers to implement the best strategy for their company.

This can range from regular visits from one of our engineers through to continuous online monitoring".

The Easy Check low-cost vibration monitor developed by INA FAG is only one example of how maintenance can be made more predictable and cost effective.

Imbalances, alignment errors or damage to bearings are detected early by the monitor.

As soon as one of the monitored values exceeds the baseline parameter an alarm is triggered, enabling the engineer to repair the fault before any major damage can occur.

The device is easily fitted to any machine.

Other condition monitoring equipment includes vibration analysing systems for bearings and a PC-based shaft alignment system. Request a free brochure from Schaeffler (UK) ...
