In2Connect and high temperature cables
In2Connect and Thermal Wire has the experience to solve your toughest, extreme temperature, wire and cable problems, from -100 to +1000C
In2Connect and Thermal Wire will solve your toughest, extreme temperature, wire and cable problems.
Manufacturing wires, cables and accessories designed to operate in temperatures from -100 degrees to +1000 degrees C requires a great deal of experience in selecting raw materials for constructions AND applications.
From blast furnaces to cryogenics we have that experience in specifying and manufacturing critical application wire and cable.
Insulation materials processed include Nextel Ceramic braid (1200 degrees C), Mica/Glass composites (500 degrees C), Dupont Kapton Polyimide or Teflon PFA (260 degrees C), Silicone Rubber/Glass braided (200 degrees C), Dupont Tefzel ETFE (150 degrees C).
In the UK, plating is generally employed on copper or copper alloy conductors to improve resistance to corrosion/oxidation at high temperatures and to assist termination.
Accepted UK 'norms' are tin plated 135 degrees C, silver plated 200 degrees C, nickel plated copper 260 degrees C, nickel clad plated copper 260 degrees C.
For cables operating at temperatures above 260 C, copper/nickel, nickel/chrome (Nichrome) or other suitable high conductivity alloys, or even Grade A nickel will be offered.
