Every flat rolling mill needs to constantly aim for increased productivity as well as the highest possible quality: the better companies fund on-going education of their engineers

Every flat rolling mill needs to constantly aim for increased productivity as well as the highest possible quality Those companies who are prepared to fund on-going education of their engineers, to ensure that they have the necessary knowledge and skills to achieve these goals, will be the most successful

Keeping ahead is easy - attend IRTC?.

IRTC covers the major concepts and characteristics of flat rolling needed to stimulate delegates in solving problems.

Each day of the five and a half day course is broken up into lectures, tutorials and discussion groups.

The course has continued to evolve; and now contains parallel lectures.

You can attend the lectures of your choice, then join the tutorial and discussion group which is appropriate for your particular area of interest.

Tutorials and practical application studies, including hands-on exposure to a suite of advanced mill simulation and design programs, will support the theoretical concepts and model derivations discussed in the lectures.

Facilities for private study and informal discussion sessions are available and delegates are invited to simulate problems of their own choosing outside the formal course timetable.

The course has also been extensively used by companies to "kick start" their new recruits into the field of rolling and more experienced engineers can keep ahead of changing technologies.

To find out what the ex-delegates have said about IRTC go to consult the website.

IRTC is presented by lecturers who, collectively, have over 100 years of practical and theoretical experience in the design and implementation of control systems, rolling mill models and mill instrumentation.

They have presented papers at numerous international conferences and work closely with many leading steel and aluminium companies worldwide.

IRTC is held twice annually.

Spring in Europe and Autumn in the Americas or Canada: confirmed dates are published on our website.
