New digital tilt switch controls liquid
levels

A multi channel tilt switch from Inertial Aerosystems can be used to operate a relay when a pre-programmed angle of tilt is reached, enabling monitoring of tanks and containers of hazardous liquids

Inertial Aerosystems announce the availability of a new multi channel tilt switch, which can be used to operate a relay when a pre-programmed angle of tilt is reached The Iris tilt switch can operate with an on-board dual axis tilt sensor or two single channel, external sensors

Up to 8 relay outputs are available.

Continuous tilt monitoring is provided by X and Y analogue outputs or digital outputs via RS232/RS485.

Tilt range is from 0.01 to 50 degrees.

The relay outputs can be used to operate an alarm, actuate emergency motor control or indicate status of a process, particularly where hazardous fluids or precious metals are easily spilt.
