Inertial Aerosystems announce the availability of a new portable, lightweight digital data bus system as an accessory to the popular Xsens MTx Motion Tracker Sensor The Xbus system allows multiple sensors to be used on separate parts of humans, animals, machines and structures for complete motion monitoring of the subject being studied

This affordable Xbus Master battery powered system can control up to 10 sensors in conjunction with the Xbus device in each sensor.

The sensors provide drift free 3D orientation as well as kinetic data: 3D acceleration, 3D rate of turn and 3D earth magnetic data.

This versatile system can be used with biomechanics, exercise and sports in one area.

Another is to measure the full movement of robotics and machines in industry, for research, development and production test of complex objects with multiple moving parts.

The Xbus can be connected to a PDA or PC via a serial cable or wireless connection, where data is logged or used in any real-time application.

Measuring 100 x 150 x 40 mm and weighing only 268 grams the Xbus Master is truly portable and can be easily mounted close to the object under test.

Available in a complete kit containing; Xbus master device, 5 sensors (MTx) MT software development kit , 5 Xbus cables, power adapter, 4 AA rechargeable batteries, bluetooth transceiver strap and carrying case; or as separate components.

This product has applications in the Research and Development, Medical Engineering, Manufacturing test and Process control.
