Inertial Aerosystems announce the availability of a new range of low cost, dual axis digital tilt sensors, the microprocessor based DAS-XX-MA-232 range

The DAS-XX-MA-232 range comprises 9 models that use solid state, micromachined technology to produce temperature compensated angular values over the range of +/-10, +/-15, +/-30 degree full scale with resolution as good as +/-.01 degrees.

Available bareboard or enclosed in a toughened ABS enclosure that measures 94 x 94 x 55mm and weighing only 25 grams these devices are ideal where space and weight are at a premium.

Sampling of the two axes is made over 25ms with auto zero.

Output is serial TTL of angle and temperature.

The dual axes inclinometer exhibits low power consumption at 5VDC (option 7-30 volts DC) and high resistance to mechanical shock of 1000g, whilst the board model measures 44mm x 44mm.

The sensor is temperature compensated 0 to 60C with an option of -20 to + 80C.

The enclosed model (5Volt) is available either without cable or as Plug and Play with a USB cable and software for graphic display of tilt and temperature.

Applications include platform levelling, pitch and roll, auto wheel testing, crane angle control, robotics, machine stabilisation, antenna positioning, agricultural machinery.
