Meters tackle problem of measuring hot
oil flows
Influx Measurements designed a viscosity insensitive flow element in order to solve the problem of measuring the flow rate of hot oil from a process heat exchanger
Influx Measurements designed a viscosity insensitive flow element in order to solve the problem of measuring the flow rate of hot oil from a process heat exchanger, where the process temperatures could range between 50 and 200 degrees Celcius In addition to the viscosity variations, the high process temperatures and non-conductive nature of the process fluid required a unique approach
The two 100mm line size Flotrak metal bodied variable area flowmetering units provide a two wire loop powered 4-20 mA output signal proportional to flow rate, which can provide flow measurement between 5 and 100 cubic metres per hour.
