New agent in raw materials handling

AZO GmbH of Osterburken, Germany, global leaders in ingredient handling and automation, have appointed Ingredient Handling Solutions (IHS) as exclusive AZO sales agent for the UK and Ireland

Martin Kent, Managing Director of the former AZO agent, Essem (Systems and Services), retires after more than 25 years of highly successful cooperation with AZO.

IHS has extensive experience and expertise in the automation of raw materials, ingredients, additives, flavouring and colouring substances in granular, powdery or liquid form.

IHS has its headquarters at Bretby Business Park, Burton on Trent and is managed by three directors.

Alan Prentice and Phil Plummer head a subsidiary company, Advanced Bulk Systems.

Tony Green of TG Associates brings to the new company his experience in process technology.

IHS Sales and Marketing director Alan Prentice says: "We are very pleased with the appointment by AZO as their exclusive agent, and intend to look after customers in the whole of the UK and Ireland with the same high level of service that they are accustomed to through Essem.

We aim to build closer relationships with our customers from project process design, through to installation and commissioning and ensuring the supply of spare parts.

AZO have over 50 years experience in dry solids and liquids handling, their extensive test facility enables AZO to provide solutions for the most complex material handling requirements".

The clientele include companies in the food, pharmaceutical, chemical and plastics industries.

The five AZO divisions AZO Food, AZOVital, AZOChem, AZOPlast and AZOPoly will assist IHS to build and expand on the Essem successful work.
