Due to the continued success and rapid growth of Ingredient Handling Solutions Ltd (IHS), it is announced that UK based materials handling engineers Advanced Bulk Systems Ltd (ABS) has been absorbed into IHS All traditional ABS engineering business will be handled through IHS in future

IHS has seen substantial growth during its first two years as exclusive UK and Republic of Ireland sales agent for AZO GmbH of Osterburken, Germany, the global leaders in ingredient handling and automation.

The company is now regarded by AZO as one of the top performing representatives worldwide with sales to date approaching GBP7.5 Million.

AZO worldwide turnover is consistently in excess of GBP100 million.

The four key business sectors are Plastic, Food, Chemical and High grade food, beverages and pharmaceutical.

The main sectors in the UK and Republic of Ireland are Food and Plastics (traditional AZO markets) with other sectors rapidly growing.

The first year of IHS trading was considered to be transitional but the year's turnover was more than respectable.

During the second year turnover increased by more than 300% marking extensive growth across the main sectors.

Two large orders for PVC mixing plants were secured, together with a food cereal mixing plant, with numerous upgrades for existing customers.

So far the third year is showing continued growth.

Phil Plummer, Sales Director of IHS Ltd, says: "IHS is now on an equal footing with ABS in terms of sales, management time and overhead costs.

This is an ideal opportunity to rationalize and bring all business under the umbrella of one company while off-loading some operating costs.

ABS Ltd customers will continue to deal with us in exactly the same way they have during the last eleven years and can expect the same levels of service and support.".
