Infrared pyrometer in the forging industry
The new IGA 15 plus portable infrared pyrometer from IMPAC Infrared has proved to be a success in the forging industry, with a temperature span of 250 to 1800C and a small target spot
A built-in laser targeting light indicates the position and size of the measuring spot, making alignment quick and easy.
The large, easy to read, illuminated LC display indicates the max, min or average temperature and the settings for emissivity, measuring mode and alarm functions.
The IGA 15 plus has a built-in data logger, which can store up to 750 values for recall or analysis using the optional PortaWin software.
The pyrometer has both a serial RS232 interface and an analogue output (1mV/C) enabling it to be used for short term online monitoring etc.
The fast response time of only 20msec and wide temperature range makes it an ideal instrument for many applications in the metals processing industry, such as preheating, tempering, hardening, forging, brazing etc.
IMPAC have again responded to market requirements with a truly innovative product that satisfies the needs of many applications at a very affordable cost.
