There will be over 70 companies exhibiting new products and services at the two-day Instrumentation Scotland and Offshore Services event in Aberdeen on 6-7 September

Among the 70+ companies exhibiting new products and services at the two-day event are * AMGas (stand 102): AMGas will be exhibiting the Ledpoint 420, the latest addition to the AMGas high reliability Ledpoint LED based NDIR flammable gas detection product range

The Ledpoint 420, with its 4 - 20mA analogue signalling interface, compliments the AMGas market leading LedpointPRS - Pellistor Replacement Sensor - which is used extensively in offshore applications as a plug and play replacement for failed Pellistor (catalytic bead) flammable gas sensors.

The Ledpoint420 is designed to be used in new build and system upgrade applications.

* Able Instruments and Controls (stand 632) will use the exhibition to present their new Aberdeen offshore support and training facility.

The purpose designed and built training rig has two vessels with a capacity of 3,500 litres, with several flow lines between, which demonstrate a variety of instrument technologies used in the offshore environment: flow, level, pressure, temperature, oil in water monitoring, etc.

* BEKA (stand 501) will be exhibiting a versatile and expanded range of Foundation Fieldbus and Profibus indicators capable of monitoring single or multiple process variables via a large display.

New products being exhibited at Instrumentation Scotland include a range of unique low cost single-variable fieldbus displays, which further augment the Beka capabilities in this fast developing market.

* Honeywell Control Systems (stand 504) will showcase their new XYR5000 Wireless Transmitters for the first time in the UK at Instrumentation Scotland 2006 alongside many other instrumentation and control products on the Honeywell stand.

The transmitters enable process variables to be monitored in areas where traditional hard-wired transmitters are too costly, difficult or time-consuming to implement.

By providing more and better information about the process and assets, they make it easier to improve product quality, reduce costs, maximise uptime, achieve regulatory compliance and enhance product development.

* For over 60 years, Pepperl+Fuchs (stands 602 and 603) have introduced cutting edge products into the market place and at the Instrumentation Scotland, they will be launching their new "C-Series" modules of the well-proven K-system range of interface barriers.

At just 12.5mm wide, the "C-series" is quite possibly the smallest galvanic isolator in the world and could reduce cabinet space requirements by more than 37%!! Benefits include single-loop integrity, reduced space requirements, high quality galvanic isolation, intelligent with HART and functional safety as standard.

* Also showcasing new products will be Rittal (stand 644) who will have on display, for the first time in Scotland, a selection from their range of Eex enclosures.

Rittal is the world leader in industrial enclosure solutions with extensive experience worldwide - offshore, onshore, oil, petrochemicals and food market.

* Roxspur Measurement and Control will be represented by Gary Marsden, well known in the instrumentation supply industry in Scotland, and will be presenting various Brearley temperature measurement products, Sensit pressure transmitters and Platon flowmeters, with news of some successful new offshore measurement applications.

* On show for the first time at Instrumentation Scotland on the Vishay Nobel stand (stand 200) will be the new G4 modular load, force or weight- processing instrument, which offers up to 8 channels of synchronous data processing, giving high-speed signal conditioning in a flexible package.

Application areas include bulk storage and batch weighing, crane weighing and overload protection, weight-on-bit measurement, pipe and cable tension systems, force measurement and calibration.
