Engineers are aware that industry is changing constantly, and that becoming licensed signifies expertise in a competitive field: this study guide helps engineers prepare for the October examination

Engineers are aware that the industry is changing constantly, and that becoming licensed signifies expertise in a competitive field.

New technologies and procedures make keeping up to date essential for any professional, including Control Systems Engineers (CSEs).

Licensure may also increase the possibility of salary increases and promotions.

To help prospective CSEs prepare for the upcoming exam in October, ISA-The Instrumentation, Systems, and Automation Society, offers the Control Systems Engineering Study Guide, Fourth Edition.

In accordance with established National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) policies, the CSE exam has recently been revised to reflect the work currently done by typical CSEs.

The topics covered - measurement, signals and transmission, final control elements, control systems analysis, control systems implementation, codes, standards, and regulations - are the same as before, but the number of questions in each area has changed.

The CSE exam in October 2003 will conform to these new specifications.

The revised study guide provides candidates for this professional engineer license with information about the scope and design of the exam, and sample questions.

This fourth edition includes an extensively revised reference list with updated editions and newly published additions, along with a listing of codes and standards - useful resources for further study.

The Control Systems Engineering Study Guide will be a valuable preparation tool for all engineers taking the CSE exam in October.

The study guide is available in downloadable pdf format, providing immediate access and helpful search capabilities.

Review copies of the study guide (ISA Member price: USD49; Non-member price: USD55; Order Number: RCSE4) are available from ISA Customer Services.
