Measurement and Control Handbook published
ISA has announced the publication of "The Condensed Handbook for Measurement and Control, 3rd Edition" by N E Battikha, focusing on selecting devices for process automation applications
The author has completely updated all the information published in the first handbook in 1997.
He has also added sections on analysers, programmable electronic systems, alarm and trip systems, control centres, enclosures, and engineering documentation.
Beginning by defining measurement and control, Battikha walks the reader through each aspect of the field, from symbols to tools to safety issues to project management.
He includes numerous comparison tables for measuring flow, pressure, temperature, and so on, guides that are likely to come in handy over and over again.
An indispensable manual for anyone who works with automation and control, The Condensed Handbook of Measurement and Control will be available for purchase on the ISA Network from 15 September, and it is a featured new offering at ISA EXPO 2003, 21-23 October at the Reliant Centre, Houston, Texas.
